WHAT'S NEXT(3)
Top of the Everest
What’s next is nothing to dread. It is none of
your business. By the way how do you think you could change things – you
actually can? All that’s the problem is you. Mike spoke sternly. ‘Mike I
understand… but’. ‘The truth is Rick… there is no two ways about it; I don’t
want to force this option on you. But since you’ve decided to seek my advice,
rather my opinion…’ Mike tried to keep the conversion deferent. He continued
the long speech. It shocked Mike when he heard the next statement: ‘There is
nothing like “what’s next’ thing.” I mean it doesn’t count. ‘How do you mean’.
Rick asked curiously? ‘It is not a
question worth considering; not a bad one though. While it is a relevant
question it is majorly one springing from worries. When it’s the reverse, then
it is okay. If I may ask... what do think is next? For my class, and that is
the point as which I can offer any assistance, next means to be in God’s plan,
to remain there. You don’t need to worry about anything when you’re in God’s
plan. You may not see the end of the road but got not to worry when ‘dad’ is
around. All you do is keep moving and forget how your path will be: it’s not
yours to worry’. Rick turned away from Mike to look around the restaurant and
then continued. ‘Em, you see…you, I mean we’ve failed enough in life. Let’s start
succeeding. We can’t fail forever. So the next thing is to succeed. Well, you
could want to fail more if you think you’ve not fail enough. How do we succeed:
good success? This is not about using your talents or gifts, gathering wealth
and wining respect and popularity. It is living your life in Christ. That is
good success. It means you’ve not succeed goodly without Jesus Christ. It may
amaze you but if you want it from me that’s it.
The next big
thing is not to get a lucrative business running or job. It is not to win the
campaign for the presidency. We’ve failed enough so let’s start succeeding:
we’ve failed in not taking God with us where we go. We leave him behind and
limited him. It doesn’t matter what you do. Whether you own a billion-dollar
business or work as a clerk. Whether you work in a big firm or you are a petty
trader, it doesn’t matter what you do, or who you are, what matters is that you
take Jesus Christ where you’re going. That exactly is the next big thing. what
is the purpose of man if not to live it for God, and we can’t count how many opportunities
we’ve lost not living life for Christ? It will really be mind-blowing discovering
how much you’ve held back from Him; how selfish you’ve been. Rick that’s what I
have to say.
If you don’t
mind we could check the bible together. That will help.
Let us hear the
conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this
is the whole duty of man. Eccl 12:13
Whatever you set your heart to achieve is what
someone has done. At least there is someone you look to as role model in that
area. Some of these people are godly some not. The thing is, it is not enough
to get all of what life offers. People have done it and will still achieve more
after you. what matters is that men see God through you, they can touch eternal
life through you. That should be your goal. Don’t be bother about where God
takes you. rather you should bothered about taking God where you go. Be the man
God can depend on. That’s it! Now, the question does it matter what’s next,
does it bother anymore? This is a different matter when it is planning.
Ya! It’s absolute right to plan but
there is a dividing line. God wants you to plan but not worry. When life is
purpose driven it doesn’t worry. You need to understand that only you can
decide how much help you can get and don’t deny it when it comes. What’s next?
Get back to God.
