Image
Rick was sitting at the first row in the class yet he wasn’t following the discussion. It was the last days of the last academic semester. Everyone was preparing for the next big thing in life. He wasn’t sure there was any big thing after college. the occupying question while he sat at that front row was ‘what's next’? He’d struggled a lot through life. He knew if something good has to happen to him again there had to be some miracle. He barely had a chance of surviving in life considering his background and little privileges. The truth is something needs to happen. He’d some fear and uncertainty about the near future.  In the past ten years nothing worthwhile outside being a student had happen to him. He had some mix of fear and faith. He’d been a little of a serious Christian and wasn’t sure if anything going through his mind now has to do with religion. If there is anything he was sure of it was that he needed answers, and if he has to be ahead or keep pace with his

GBENGA A FRIEND OF GEHAZI

(extracted from 'who is Gbenga') ‘ But Gehazi, the servant of Elisha (the man of God) … followed after Naaman.’ (2kings 5:20,21) Show me your friend …, so the saying goes. (and we know who you are) we could tell who Gbenga was from the kind of friend he kept. ‘Gbenga a friend of Gehazi in other words is Gbenga a follower of Gehazi. He followed the pattern of Gehazi, his ways and deeds. Who then is Gehazi is the question. From the introduction of this session, we see that Gehazi is a servant. So he sought to follow the noble man of the earth; to get the bags of gold and silver they were carrying. He left his office, his purpose without any order. Image
Sam walked up and down his room, sat down then walk to the window starring at just nothing with his thoughts over the last investment he’d made. ‘where did I get it wrong, perhaps I shouldn’t have done it’. He’d loss huge amount in an investment due to unforeseen circumstances.   It’s been days now yet the cut of his financial loss was still fresh. It affected a lot, from his mode to his appetite, productivity and relationship. It was just unbearable and also considering the economic recession in the country. The question is what should Sam do?  Losing money can be as painful as losing a love one – yes. Especially considering the circumstances surrounding that money. It could really hurt. Financial lose can happen to anyone. Ones it’s business then there is 100% guarantee you get your money back. Even farmers don’t. we plant and go to bed praying that it works. At some point in Lincoln’s life he had failed in business severally. Others had also. Multimillionaire busine
