Let there be light
Before the begining began,
From the top of nothingness,
and the middle of ruins
God rhymed his rhymes:
Let there be light.
now eyes do see,
For God rhymed light from his words and there was light.
In the beginning,
light walked this dusty clime,
Pure compassionate life giving light,
Opening eyes,
Unstoping ears,
Loosening tongues,
Straightened legs:
Changing Lives.
and they heard and yelled and saw the goodness of that light,
For God rhymed a verse,
And there was light.
Before the ends beginning,
Men ran with speed of light,
Uprooting walls and Gates,
Women slayed with great might,
Breeding their young with rhymes of light,
And light dwelled in many bellies,
Calling forth things from nothingness.
For God rhymed a line,
And there was light.
In this end of time's begining,
Naked Darknesses harasses lights,
mocking God's very lines and rhymes,
With theories of error in pictures of silver,
and Adam weds Steve,
In buildings adorned with crucifix.
Shall we not poem the light,
And the kingdom rhymed,
For God had poetisyed,
Let there be light,
And there was light!
